1 ¼ pounds beef or chicken liver
2 whole eggs
3 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
1 cup cooked barley
2 cups wheat germ
1 tablespoon olive oil
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 9 baking dish.
Place liver in a blender and liquefy. Add eggs and peanut butter; blend until mixture is smooth.
In bowl combine whole wheat flour, cooked barley and wheat germ. To this add liver mixture and olive oil; mix well. Spread into greased baking dish and bake 20 minutes.
When brownies are cool, cut into large or small squares, depending on the size of your dog. Place cooled brownies in airtight container and store in refrigerator.
Yield: 1 - 2 dozen depending on cut size.
Before feeding your pug any "human" food, check with your local vet to make sure your pug is not allergic to any of the ingredients.
