Just for information, I was researching the cost of neutering in my area (Wash. DC), anywhere from 350 to 800. I decided to check out my local Animal Welfare League and found a link to Spay, Inc., they help cover the cost of neutering for anyone no matter their income. They give you a list of the vets they deal with and help with the cost. Needless to say my cost went from about $400 to 115. The vet I use was not on the list but that is ok, I will use this one for the neutering and go back for everything else to my vet. Just thought I would throw this out there for everyone's information

i use banfield inside my local petsmart they have a type of puppy insurance almost. you pay a monthly fee and office visists plus vacinations are free you get a percentage off meds and neutering was free too and it's only like 29 dollars a month the free office visits and shots made it worth it not then when they mentioned that neutering was covered i was 100% sold... you should also look into this program if you have a banfield vet near you : )

moosepug88, We don't have a petsmart,(wish we did), but I been hearing about their program. Here, our local Human soc. does it for around 180 and free if you bring them your puppy's, they will spay the momma. At the vets around here it usually costs around 200.
