Has anyone found good ways to control a pug's shedding? At times it gets out of control and brushing simply isn't enough..... thoughts??

I do everything I can! I have 3 pugs so I understand :) I use a shed control shampoo and bath them every 2 or three weeks. My kids brush them all the time. I have trained my pugs that if they are gonna lay on the couch, they have their own blanket to lay on. Its a lot easier to wash and keeps the hair at least in one spot! All this helps, but it is a daily battle!

It seems to be a never ending battle! At times I think that it would be easier to take them to the groomer at least once a month to get a really good bath/brushing, but I just can't bring myself to pay for it!
We try to brush them with a Zoom Groom as much as possible, but it ends up being maybe once a week. We should really try something else like the shed control shampoo!

Well, I accepted the reality of my pugs excessive shedding. I brush her every 2 days (and she loves it) but still she releases a lot of hair. I've never thought it was going to be such a problem... Good thing that none of us is allergic and we don't have carpets... so it's easy to keep the apartment clean.
