1000 Pugs: Atlanta edition

So...it's been a rough few weeks and I'm just now settling back into a normal routine. This isn't the place to air my grievances (and it's not Festivus, anyway!), so lets just go with this: things started going wrong and haven't stopped yet. But I digress.

Molly, Gus, Tina and I will be heading to lovely Marietta, GA from Virginia on Friday for Molly's 1000 Pugs photo shoot on Saturday. Is anyone else here registered for that city? Does anyone here live around that area and want to do a meetup/dinner on Friday evening? Or at the least, can anyone recommend places that people AND dogs can go to eat or play?

Did the event went OK?
The readers of The Daily Puglet (her owner is the one behind 1K Pugs) have been worried since the blog hasn't been updated for a week. But people claim they were in Atlanta, so I'm not sure what to think.

The event went wonderfully! She squeezed Gus into her schedule, even though we adopted him after the registration deadline. She said she wanted to save us a drive up to New Jersey in the fall. So Molly and Gus both got their 15 minutes of fame. Amanda is an incredibly awesome person. Almost as awesome as Puglet, who was there being the official greeter! He curled up in my lap and flopped onto his back and let me hold him like a big baby. Listen, folks. Puglet is a Pug of massive proportions! He's not fat at all. Just...huge! And so sweet and well behaved. It was a pleasure to meet both Puglet and his human.

Don't expect a blog update anytime soon. She wraps up in Atlanta today and then heads to Miami. And to give you an idea of what she is working with, she probably took 200 pictures of Gus in 15 minutes. And she'll have to sort through all of those. And then finish them up. By hand. But I promise, as of 1 PM on Saturday, Amanda and Puglet were alive and kicking and totally incredible.

Can't wait for Milwaukee ... We got an email with our numbers - Zoe is #414; Peyton is #415; Webster is #416 and Liberty is #417. So that means we get Amanda's time for 75 minutes on May 18th!!! I am so excited ...

That is awesome that both Molly and Gus will be in the book 1000 Pugs! I can't wait until it comes out next year!!!!
