My rescue Lucy is a sweet and loving dog but when we are on walks or in the car and she sees people or other animals she turns into a barking, growling little machine. Anyone have any experience with anti bark training or devices that could help? Thanks!

Squirt gun..........It should work, and it doesn't hurt them. She may also get use to other people after awhile...Good Luck!

I'd say that's a behavioral issue, more than anything. Any half decent trainer should be able to help (even at a place like PetSmart or Petco).
But if you're really wanting to try out a bark collar, we've used a citronella bark collar for a number of years.

Works great for when we've gotta leave the dogs outside for a while and they decide they want to bark at every moving object.

Thanks for the link, I saw this on tv just yesterday and wondered about it. We have been using a spay bottle but squirt gun makes more sense. Thanks all!

I will add to the above Squirt bottle. Use a command word. Like LEAVE IT! You can use the squirt bottle on anything you don't want him to get into as well. Use a strong tone, together with the water bottle.
