in the never ending quest to meet some of you...here is a dog friendly event that my meetup is attending....
beacon barks day on april 24th (rain date april 25th). beacon closes a part of main street for a day of dog friendly events. it starts with a parade of dogs at 11am and continues thru the day with music, food, rescue groups and vendors in the streets. many of the shops open their doors to be pet friendly. this is an all breed event so all your non puggy siblings can attend also. my meetup will be there in full force (so far about 40 of us are attending), you won't be able to miss us, just look for the pack of pugs and their people. don't be shy and come up and say hello, ask for carol (i'm one of the organizers of my group), i'd love to meet you. this event is sponsered by our local spca and the beacon barkery (a pet boutique and bakery). keep paws crossed for a beautiful day!

On plane or train? I'm scared of heights. NO FLYING! When I die, I'll have to walk up the golden stairs to heaven. HAHAHAHA! Trains are fun. It's also grandbaby time here. Any time now. We're waiting for a call, that it is time to go. Adele is being very stuborn about being born. Gary, my husband has seen NY. I sure would like to see it myself sometime.

well we had great day! it was pug perfect with temps in the 70's. we were overrun by pugs, always good. i had my camera but unfortunately was so busy, it never came out of my bag. some of our members took pictures of us gathering to line up for the parade so if you want to see lots of pugs, i've posted a link. if you see 2 people holding a banner, i'm the one on the right with a sleeveless tee and a sweatshirt tied around the waist. we had everyone put orange bandanas on their pugs for "go orange for the animals", an aspca thing for april, showing support for no cruelty for animals month. sorry i don't have any pictures of the actual parade or all the activities.
