Desperately Seeking Tankster

Hi All,
My name is Katriona solas. I'm not new to pug ownership but I am pretty new to this site. I've been posting information about our pug on pug websites on the internet. We're searching high and low for our pug named Tankster. There is a long story which I have posted elsewhere and I'm going post THAT in various places as well. It's the only way for me to let people know and get them to understand what happened and why we are posting this story. We miss him SO much! Please help us bring him home where he belongs: Tankster was with us for five years. He got into a fight with my service dog who is a Rottweiler. It happened while my husband was laid off due to the slowed economy. Tankster needed an eye removed or he'd have died from infection. I tried the Humane Society for help and they said they'd just put him to sleep. They referred me to the Colorado Pug Rescue. I spoke with a woman there. She said he'd get his surgery and they'd check out his new owner or home very carefully and he'd stay in a foster home after surgery. She told us we could call to check up on him anytime we wanted to. During our second phone call she told me that his photo would be posted on their site for adoption in just a few days and that I should watch for it! I have watched and watched and he's never been there. She also stopped accepting my calls or emails after that. When she came to pick him up she told me it was the law that she had to do this. She put a $1 in my hand. I said I couldn't accept it and I put it back in her hand and told her to consider it a donation! I joined their facebook group trying to find some information on Tankster. When I spoke out about that woman lying to us and that we felt taken advantage of when we learned from the man who sets up their activities that he remembered a pug named Tankster who was missing an eye and if it was the same dog he'd been sold at an event in Denver called Pugs In The Park!!! We panicked! That is not our idea of checking out the homes and future owners carefully!!! We've been actively searching for Tankster ever since then. They picked him up on the forth of July weekend last summer! We want to know if he's in a good home. If he is then that's great. But if there is EVER a time that his new owners can't keep him PLEASE bring him home to us and not take him back to that place! We love and miss him SO much! 970-416-6848

What do you mean by "new owner or home". Tankster had a fight with the Rottweiler and had to have an eye removed. So how did "new owner or home" come into effect? Are you looking to get Tankster back to live with you?

Unfortunately, we can't edit or add to posts. "When she came to pick him up she told me it was the law that she had to do this." What law is she referring to?

I saw another of your posts that explained your full story more. I feel so bad for you. I just can't imagine what you're going through.

Ideas:
Check the area veternarians - they won't tell you who has Tankster, but they will probably let you know how he is. That will also let you know Tankster is in your area.
If you know Tankster is in the area and you want him back, put up posters about town that you will purchase Tankster back from them and see if you get a response. If you don't have the money, see my post on "I can't afford vet bills - some resources". Start a "chip-in" and pass around the link.

You're in my prayers, Katriona. Please keep us posted. Don't give up.
