Dog Bed

Hi - I'm just wondering if any of you have dog beds for your pugs that they actually enjoy?  I have a small, stuffed dog bed for Gracie, but she doesn't use if often.  Every now and then she will sit on it, but she doesn't seem to be drawn to it.

I don't mind her sleeping on my bed, but I'd like to have something comfortable for her to keep in the living room so that she has a place of her own to relax and rest.

I was thinking about one of those raised dog beds, but don't want to spend the money if she won't use it.  Any reviews on this or other dog beds??

Thanks!!

Pam

graciegirl, I have doggie beds for my pugs. I have them in the kitchen, and they only lay in them when I am in the room, or away from the house as they tend to lay there and wait for me to return. They each have one inside of their cages, and love them. I also have them in the living room but they would rather lay on the couch with me. Go figure. HAHA!

although my guys sleep in bed with me at night, they do have one bed that they absolutely love that they enjoy taking thier daily naps in. we call it thier pita but it is called the "cozy cave bed". my guys love to burrow under the covers so this is perfect for them. you can also take out the plastic rod that forms the cave for washing and it washes beautifully, i just did that yesterday. here is the link for it so you can see it....

My Stan has his bed in the kitchen and will lie in it when I'm there with him or when we are out but other than that he lies in the hallway in his "sun spot" as the sun shines through all morning, lies on the settee, top of the stairs, halfway up the stairs or on the bed.  More or less anywhere but his bed hee hee.  He even lay down on my garden table yesterday daft dog!

Pugs usually lay anywhere they want.  Sacha has always torn up her beds, so stopped buying them.  But if you can find an old sofa, the seat cushions make nice dog beds.  (make sure they are clean!)  I cover mine with baby quilts from the nearby Value Village - they are soft and look pretty.  They are Much Much More Durable!  (And too heavy to swing around and tear up.)

China Rose and Sulynn usually sleep in the one in our kitchen when I am gone. They pile in there together. You know Puggy's in a pil make you smile.

our pugs each have their own beds, but they prefer the smaller rounder one, they sleep in them when we are gone, or sometimes stellie needs a break from her sibs and she goes by herself and lays down...lol...

~ Zuji's resting/napping occurs on top of a small box, in a wicker bed sprawled over toys, or on a cool white tile floor.

For evening sleep, he prefers his crate.

If I'm up and about in the wee hours, he'll be awake and at the puppy fence, watching and waiting.

Naturally a gentle scratching, belly rub and affectionate words reward his middle of the night interest.

~ Fernando:

My 13-week old puppy, Zuji, has been eating Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy for six weeks.

He loves it! His growth has been steady without any digestive problems.
