My dog must be mad at me Last night we took Marz out and I looked down and he was peeing on my boots. Has this happened to anyone? He will be 2 years old next month.
LOL, gotta giggle at this one. The explanation is simple - you are his! And he is trying to tell everybody you are "his". It is a possesive thing - he is far from mad at you, he want everyone else to stay away from you because you belong to him. This is how doggies mark their "territory" Just discourage him by saying NO loudly, or if necessary carry a spray bottle of water and just give him a spray and say NO! when he does it. HIs feelings might be a bit hurt, just make sure to give him lots of attention and love at other times. He will also tend to do it less once you get him neutered at six months or so.
Oh, I see he is over two years old! If he's not neutered you should get him done. The belly band like Elgor says, might be a good idea. Maybe there just wasn't a tree handy!
I seen this at a recent puggie party. It was sponsored by MPR. It was so funny, the woman that the dog peed on, didn't even know. This also happened at the Halloween Party to my wife. Except, it was on her coat. YUK!!! It is a marking thing that boy dogs do. Good Luck! Doc
Is he neutured? If not, and your not goin to breed him, I would have it done. When dogs do this kind of stuff it is usually they are claiming it. They don't do it because they are mad. They may smell something on your clothing or your shoe that he liked.

He might need a belly band if he continues to do this ... My Peyton is almost 4 and has been "marking" since he was 13 months old.
