My pug...purrs?

Yup, he sounds like a cat sometimes. Mostly when he's being petted or when I lie close next to him, I've assumed it's because he's happy or pleased but I'm not really sure. He does the same when I clean his eyes which I never thought he liked so I'm a bit confused. Why do they make this sound?

Haha it wouldn't surprise me honestly, he reminds me more of a cat than some cats I've seen!
I have also assumed Loopy does this when he's happy, he does it when he's very comfortable too. I'm going to try to film it and upload the video, it's really funny it sounds like he's just very grumpy!

You should consider moving to Sweden then. Everyone seems to love pugs.

Tonka does that sometimes too and yes, it seems to only be when he's really happy or excited... like breakfast time when he sees his dish get picked up after it gets filled lol

Sasha doesn't purr - but she does a sort of soft snort: "zzzooooo, zzzzoooo, zzzooo" and will do that as long as you keep petting her or rubbing her tummy.

China Rose also hums. Always when she is content, and being loved on. I love that about her.
