Pug pimple?

Angel has a pinkish / red bump above her nose.  Is this a pug pimple that I've heard of here?

Angel does not want me to touch it and she's never been good about me even attempting to clean her wrinkle folds.  (We've had her almost a year, she is approx. 5 years old)

sounds like the wrinkles need cleaning, if you can't do it yourself i recommend you find someone to do it, a vet or groomer or another pug person, you didn't say how close to the wrinkle it is but it could be a sore from not cleaning often enough, also pug pimples usually are on their chin.

Oh dear, I feel bad.  I can see why it's best to clean your pug's wrinkles when they are puppies so they get used to it.

Cleaning wrinkles are important, If that pimple looks infected (you said it was red ) put an antibiotic on it, I use one from the vet but neosporin will work also  My boys are older and still don't like there wrinkles cleaned.

Let us know how she is doing.

Just keep workin with her everyday with like a wet wash cloth. Keep tryin and she will give in. If you have to have a family member help hold her while you do this. I find if I sit at the left end of my couch and wedge Rosies but down in the corner and wrap my right arm around her and lean in on her it helps to hold her steady for things she doesn't like. She is so use to me though she doesn't put up much fuss. It's a good idea if you have a puppy to start right away with things like nail trimming and face washing. But it can be alittle harder with an old dog. But Old dog do learn new tricks. So keep workin on it and don't give in.

Wash cloths can sometimes be pretty rough.  If the wrinkle is irritated, it may make it worse.  I use unscented baby wipes.  They seem to work very well, and you can actually see the gunk on the wipe after use.  The most center of the wrinkle, right above the nose, is where infection is most found.  A clean nose wrinkle is a must for a pugger!  Good luck!!      Doc and his girls

I agree withthe baby wipes (unscented) My pug had the same thing and it looked painful I cleaned it gently with a warm babywipe ( put in microwave for 15 seconds to just get the chill out of it ) I started out cleaning his face so he would get use to the cloth on him and then he allowed me to clean his nose......He loves when I clean it ..........If you dont clean it it will rupture and a egg yolk crust will form around it and then you will have a stinky pug face .......:

try to squirt some warm water in wrinkle a little before you try the wet cloth, if there is dried gunk it might be irritating the crease, softening it might make it easier to clean and  pup might not squirm so much.

i have a friend that used to foster rescue pugs, some of them came to her pretty crusty. she would take bag balm, it comes in a green tin and can be found in drug stores or even some pet shops, would take a little and smear it with her finger in the crease and even on a crusty nose. then after about a few minutes, she would take a baby wash cloth with dampened warm water and wipe it clean. be sure to dry with a dry baby wash cloth after. that would loosen any dirt. not that i am saying your dog's nose or wrinkle is crusty

My pug 2 years, has appeared with boils / pimples on the nose, more localized along the wrinkles, I have cleaned with Betadine, but continue to appear .. what should I do?

These pug pimple usually show up on younger dogs up to about a year. Kinda like teenagers stuff HA! And even later on. They seem to grow out of it the older they get. But you have to just keep cleaning faces and keeping them dry. Even doin so they will get them. Sometimes they get sore to the touch. It's one of those puggy things we must keep up with.
