I wanted to get some advice if possible - here's the long story....
Sunday morning I got up & Vince had his normal walk & breakfast - then I made toast for my breakfast - usually he goes bonkers when I have toast he loves it! But today he wouldn't come near me - I offered him a little bit & he moved away like he was scared of it! Then he was doing a funny twitchy thing with his mouth - I thought this was very strange but then after breakfast I visited my mum as it was mothers day - he spent the day with my mums pug - he was on top form acting like a nutter doing his hunched up running trying to steal our food - back to normal! Then we got home & he was clearly tired with all the playing so he just slept. Now its Wednesday - he has been so strange - he is eating fine - the curl in his tail is still there - no sickness - toilets normal - but all he wants to do is sleep on my knee - he hasn't played with any toys or his chew bones since Saturday! He always has a chew bone with him he sits on my knee chewing until about 10pm at night then he goes to sleep on my knee - but he isn't interested he just sleeps. I took him to the vets yesterday as I was worried they did a full examination on him & he is 100% fine so why has my puggy gone weird & lost his fun bonkers personality? The only symptoms he has are that he is doing his reverse sneezing more often & also proper sneezes - but the vet didn't think this was strange? Can anyone suggest anything!? Thank you.

Do you think maybe he has a tooth ache? Our oldest pug Sheldon loves to eat ice cubes and last night when I gave him one, he just looked at it and licked it then put it in his mouth and dropped it and then walked away (normally he could eat a bowl of ice cubes). This made me wonder if maybe he has a sore tooth... I'm going to keep an eye out, but maybe that could be Vince's problem if he doesn't want to chew his bones??? Good luck and I hope he feels better soon!

Thank you for the suggestion! Vince loves ice cubes too he chases them around on the laminate floor before eating them - I will try that later & see how he gets on! Thank you - I hope Sheldon gets better soon too!

Well, check his mouth for sure to make sure he has not developed a bunch of tartar on his teeth, that can cause infection in the mouth. Surely the vet must have looked at his teeth? Also check his poops to make sure he does not have diarreah (spelling?) or is constipated. Also make sure the vet had checked his anal glands - is he doing the bum scootin boogy? (Rubbing his bottom around on the floor or the ground) If so, he could possibly have impacted anal glands which can also cause infection in the body if not attended to. Otherwise, just keep an eye on him to make sure he does not develop other symptoms. My last suggestion can scare you, but don't let it - you may have to get bloodwork done to rule out other things - like pancreatitis. It is quite curable, and so are most infections that they can pick up. What you are seeing may be the early signs of something developing but just keep your eyes open, that's how you prevent conditions from becoming worse.

Thanks for your help - the vet only sort of looked in his mouth - Vince lets you do anything to his back end - but doesn't like his face touching. The vet managed to have a quick glance in his mouth but Vince gets so wriggly its hard to do it. But because he is eating fine he wasn't concerned. His poop is absolutely fine. The vet extracted his glands whilst we were there as I told him he does often get a stinky bum (yuk!) so he's all fine there! My friend & the breeder of Vince has suggested he might be missing my mums pug so she is coming over tonight see if he plays with his mate Lennox! Lets hope so! Thanks for all your suggestions I really appreciate it!!

****Update****
Well Vinces mate Lennox came round to play last night - they are both usually nuts together! But Vince was avoiding going near him & its like Lennox knew something was wrong with Vince because he left him alone - Vince watched Lennox playing with his toys and chew bones. We decided to inspect in Vinces mouth - not an easy job! I coukdn't see anything but had a good feel around. After this Vince decided to steal Lennox chew bone! Brilliant! He hasn't touched one since Saturday! He sat chewing it - at first we noticed blood on the bone but as he carried on chewing it dissapeared - maybe he had a blister in his mouth that burst or something - but as soon as this happened he seems to have got back to normal yeahhhhh! Thanks for your help.

It sure sounds like something sore in the mouth or teeth. Hope it gets better now. But I would keep a watchful eye.
