Jabba at 18 weeks is fully house trained and goes out in the back yard. Training a puppy to do stairs is a chore however, stairs with just treads and no backing, like you have on the steps to a deck usually make it almost impossible. With a little kibble and patients he now booms up and down with no problem. Upside is, the stairs (carpeted) to the bedrooms seem too daunting. Gotta love the goofy little guys!

Try sitting him in the middle of the stairs. He will figure it out. Having this problem with my Jap. Chin Ludwig. He goes up and down stairs outside, but staircase to family room is carpeted and a long one. He's chicken. Will go up them if I carry him to the bottom. But will not go down from the top. HA!
