I have read your blog and it is an excellent resource for pug owners. I am so sorry for your loss, and thank you for getting the word out about this terrible disease. Sending hugs and prayers for you at this sad time.
Love, Jan and the Sass

Hello Mindy.... you and I have 1 very important thing that we share. We've both lost our loved pugs to PDE within this past month. I've lost 2 due to the disease. The first one was 5 1/2yrs when it showed up the other was 10 months old. I hope more breeders test for this disease because you're right, no one deserves the heart break and the vet visits that this disease causes. My heart goes out to you for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss! My friend, Christy, lost her beautiful pug, Payton, last month from this same thing! Because of her blog and now yours ... it helps make others aware and and lets us know what to look for. I thank God every day that my babies are healthy! Pug Hugs ~ Ellen

I read your blog and was happy you posted about the research. I too read an article that appeared in the Purina Farms mag. that told all you had posted on your blog. I am told that to test breeding pairs the test only cost $65 dollars each dog. That isn't that much is it. If breeders would do the tests before breeding this terrible disese could be a thing of the past. The sad thing is though that there are breeders that will be to tight to spend the money. They will make money on the litter, but don't care about the health. Sad isn't it.
I am so sorry that your puggy went through this. I am sending prayers to you to help you along. I am so so sorry.
