I'm so sorry for your loss. What was her name? Pugs have a way of pulling families together. They give love that only a pug owner would know. I lost my Gretta one and a half years ago. She was only nine years old. She was daddies little girl.....my sweet heart. I grieved so hard, my family got worried. My daughter found another little girl pug that needed a new home, on line. My wife and I went immediately to get her. Lexi is my life now. She is spoiled so much by me! She gets anything and everything. It is said, by a neighbor, that she is treated better than most people's kids. I guess I have to agree. Use us for support. Many of us have lost fur babies, like you, and know what you are going through. We are praying for you and your family and to give you comfort. Doc and his girls

Susan, I am so so sorry for your loss. I know it is the hardest thing to go through. Try to hag on to the good times you shared with Vada and know her spirit is with you and your family always. I can tell you that after the loss of a pet, when we would get another they would do things that only the dog that passed did. It is as if they learned it from that dog. Just those weird little quirks, I know they pass it on to the next pet. Well, anyway we will pray for comfort for you and your family at this difficult time. Hugs to all of you. Marti

I am so sorry for your loss Susan. It is very very painful to go thro but like everyone has already said on here think of the good times. When we lost our little minpin we decided to take that grief and turn it into something zeusy would be proud of....so we rescued three pugs. He would think they are weird little furry kids but i know he is smiling down on us, for all the love we feel for them! Sending a hug your way....deb and kids

oh no....I am so sorry to hear that! it is amzing how little time it takes a Pug to win everyone over!
it is what they are best at! Dog sdon't get the long life they so richly deserve and earn so easily. I lost my old Furkid at the ripe old age of 16 and that didn't feel like long enough. So we all understand the heartache! Don't close your heart to another dog...but don't rush into it either. you will never replace Vada, but to honor her consider another rescue. I adopted a dog a few months before Dusty went to the rainbow bridge, I miss Her terrible almost three years later, but I have Frankie to take care of and love and I know Dusty wants me to be happy and take care of her Pug friend, in her memory, and is smilling down knowing that he has a great live like she had. My parents who had Dusty when I flew the coup (don't worry I had lots of time with her, visting and watching her when they went away) Finally adopted another dog from the ani,al shelter here, About a month ago, not as a replacement for Dusty, but like me wanted to honor Dusty, and share the love, with a new dog. The grief is overwelming I know, but you have our love and support, just know one day you will think of Vada, with more smiles than cries, and she is watching out for you and yours from the Rainbow Bridge....Cry as much as you need...I cried like a baby when Dusty passed, it was a part of my past that died as well it seemed. She was there for my graduations High School, College, my jobs, getting married..so I totally get it. I know most men don't like to show emotion but, Dusty was alwasys there. Someday one the pain eases...reconsider. I know I will have to deal with passing of a pet 2 more times, but the heartache is worth, what Frankie and Libby provide.

I also was shocked to see how soon a pug can win over everyone they meet. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I too have recently lost a great little pug. Hang in there. We're all thinking about you and just my two cents: It really helped my wife to go out and buy a few picture frames and hang some pictures of her around the house. Always remember the fun times. Susan, I am so very sorry and truly know the pain you are feeling as we lost our Betsy this past December. I cried for two solid months until my husband said it was time to rescue again and we did. We have only had Lucy for two days but are already madly in love. Just take whatever time you need to mourn your puppy and you will know what to do or not to do when the time is right for you.

Susan. It can take years, my dear. Eventually you will find room in your heart for another and the memories of your angel will still be there to make you smile but you will always feel a little bit of longing and sadness. Sending hugs and prayers for your grief. I know it is hard.

The joy and love these little pugs bring us are equaled only to the sadness and heartbreak when we loose them and I don't think we ever get over their loss. We simply move the heartbreak to an area of our hearts that we don't visit often and we are thankful for the wonderful times we had with our pug pals. Feeling you sadness and understanding your pain and saying a prayer for you all.
