What treats do your pugs like?

my pug can't seem to find a treat that she likes. I really wanted to do home ade treats cause i heard they were healthier but i'm willing to buy too. Anything that mugs will happily eat is fine buy me and if you have any recipes that your pugs really love then i'll take that too! Thank you

our pugs like bully treats...they are stinky and a bit gross (from what they are made from) but they sure like them....they give them hours of chewing enjoyment...which in turn gives me time to get things down around the house, without tripping over them...lolol  we have a shop here called "bloom and Bark" that is very successful at selling and baking homemade dog treats.  They advertize in mag's such as Midwest Living etc. and I know they ship their products all over.  We have tried several of the different treats and our pugs love them, but the one bad side effect from them is GAS!  BAD GAS!!  So we don't usually get them.

Oh their most wonderful treat is fruit....that is what they like the best...but it turns Stella into a wild beast and she doesn't want to share with sam, she is much smaller than him, but it doesn't stop her from getting nuts!!

i usually give my pugs a piece of banana, apple, strawberries or even blueberries. i also will buy them purebites, it's just freeze dried chicken, that's all. if i buy them treats, i always check the ingredients making sure they don't have anything in it that i can't pronounce, are grain free, hopefully use organic products and not made in china! if your dog is picky, you can always give a piece of kibble as a treat, it's a great size for training. as far as chewies, the only thing my pugs get is raw bones from the butcher or himilayan chews. they love their himis and they don't smell, stain, splinter and last a long time. i usually buy the large size. they might be a bit pricey but they last for at least a month over here. here is a link to them....

Rexi use to love choco drops, but had to be taken off them due to his funny tummy; but he enjoys a small apple a day, nibbling all the peel off. he adores marrow filled bones and roasted bones, they last him a while. He enjoys a little cheese and ostrich sausages now and again.

Mine love chicken jerky more than anything. That is what I use to get pictures. I try to make as many treats as possible. I always make pupcakes for their birthdays.  Here is one treat that I make often ...

Baby Food Dog Treats
Ingredients: 1 cup Wheat Germ
2 small jars baby food (meat)
Make sure both jars are the same.
Preheat the oven to 350.
Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Roll into 1" balls and flatten with a fork.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Cool and enjoy!
It doesn't get any easier than this.
Check this out for recipes ... http://www.bullwrinkle.com/Assets/Recipes/Recipes.htm I have made some of them!

my pups really loved scooby snacks, they were a little expensive but puggies love em, can't get them here anymore.

I tried the bullwrinkle site and mugsly loved the icy paws. I can't wait till her birthday to try the pupcake! awesome website, however whenever i'm too lazy to fix something i'll try all your ideas one by one, mugsly will most definitley gain a pound or 2!

My pug enjoys 1 dog biscuit and 1 premiumsnack (usually a Beggin Strip) every morning before I leave for work. If I forget, he will let me know! In the evening while we eat. he gets a handfull of plain Cheerios which he likes alot. On Saturday morning, he gets a handfull of Honey Nut Cheerios.

He also likes Frosty Paws, but not being independently wealthy, $4-$5 for a box of four is pretty steep.

~ For Zuji it's bits of thinly sliced carrots or thinly sliced apples.

Above all else, chunks of steamed chicken breast in a chew toy drive him mad with food desire.
