About Me

<b>*ADOPTED 06-26-2011*</b>Hi there! I'm Lucy, one half of the Lucy & Ethel duo. I was found in October at a dump in NC with my sister Ethel. We were taken to a high-kill shelter. It was just awful. I was so worried. But those wonderful folks at MAPR found out about us and got us to a safe foster home. That didn't last long. We ended up at another foster home. And now we're on our 4th foster home. People were saying the most horrible things about us, like that we were horrible, couldn't be trained, that we went potty everywhere and that we destroyed everything. Well, my foster mommies haven't seen anything like that out of me. They tell me that I'm one of the best doggies they've ever fostered. I'm kind of a wallflower. I prefer to sit in the background and let Ethel get all of the attention. People do love my serious underbite, and I must say that I think that it's rather fetching. Whenever I get scared, which is often, I know that Ethel will protect me. She keeps me safe and washes my face and ears for me. I just can't function without my sister. We're looking for the perfect forever home. You understand, though, that we have to be adopted together. I don't know how I'd live without Ethel. So if you're interested in adopting two wonderful little people, please get in touch with MAPR. We love it with foster mommies, but we'd really love to have our own home.

Lets face it: I may not look like a pug, but I have pug in me. I'll eat pretty much anything that comes my way, whether it's edible or not.

Favorite Activities

I love napping with my foster family. I also enjoy watching Star Trek: The Next Generation with my mommies. Foster-sister Molly says that she's the captain but that I can be a red-shirt. I have no idea what that means, but I suspect it means that I look great in red and Molly would be happy to have me as part of her crew!
