Hello fellow puggers! Exactly! I had to supervise the electrician. After all, my grampie calls me "boss" and I take my title seriously! The pugmobile (or beast, as Mommie calls it) passed inspection--Yay. But like the mechanic said, the car's only 2 years old and only has about 14,000 miles. As for the electric bill, we HAVE to have the air conditioning on (though we sometimes turn it off at night if it cools down). I'll be sure to take good care of the house, particularly since a doggie bag will be arriving and how good I am is in direct proportion to how many yummies I get! The electrician started off mean (he apologized and said it was because the situation with the tub was frustrating) and my mommie was ready to throw him out (she doesn't let ANYONE be mean to me!) He got nicer when he found out that Jake's mommie and daddie had a job he really wanted (after being mean, he actually asked my mommie to put a good word in for him! We'll see!) Anyway, I'm used to helping. My grampie ALWAYS lets me help and he NEVER yells at me. He's very patient. Mommie says she remembers that movie The Money Pit but didn't think it would happen to her. We had a 200 dollar electric bill! At least our new kitchen was remodeled before we bought the house. Hard day of napping--I like that. At least you guys understand me and the life of a pug! Hi again guys! I've had a rough, rough day. I've been in the cage (not even the pen!) since about noon (and it's now 4:00!) because I was annoying the electrician. Bad news: the problem is not covered under warranty PLUS he has to make ANOTHER appointment to finish the job next week. That means I may never be free. At least the final bill won't be too high (Mommie is beginning to calll the new house "The Money Pit!") My mommie hasn't put me in the tub yet so we don't know if I'm afraid of the water or not. It was hot here, too. Jake and I had a playdate when his mommie and daddie came home for lunch. After that, I fell asleep on the couch upstairs and my mommie fell asleep on the couch downstairs. That's the FIRST time that ever happened. We always nap together. I think she's trying to get me to see what it will be like for me to be alone in the house. Before we know it, she'll be back to work (but her boss said, don't worry--we have a whole month left!) Today, I had dinner theatre: I put my head on my bowl of food and scratched and looked sad--and the bowl was FULL. Mommie thinks I just want attention. I'm impressed--Pugsly in charge and Robbie second in command. I hope Frankie had some kind of title, too. The only thing I'm in charge of is my pen. A play date with Murphy sounds fun. I haven't had any play dates since it's been so hot that we've had to stay in the house. The girl who sent my mommie a message is nice and she's a good student so she'll probably do well in class again. When she asked about me, my mommie said I'm tearing up the new house and this girl said, "sounds like Maddie hasn't changed a BIT! Ha ha!" Hope you have a TERRIFIC day! Hello Boys! Glad to hear all is well. I knew Robbie didn't mean to be bad. One reason my grammie was watching me was so I didn't get black paint all over me. My mommie is covered in it and even turpentine won't take it off. Her hands look like she's been working on car engines! The other night, we saw FOUR deer from our deck: one big one and three baby ones. Coooooool. More friends for ME! Here's something funny: my next door neighbor likes to bring her dogs (Trixie and Maxie) over then rub what she calls my Buddha belly. She didn't know my mommie already called it that! Wow guys! You got lots and lots of treats. Pizza AND ghettis! MMMMMMM! I was VERY good today (my grammie said so) so I got lots of treats: bites of hamburger, fries, watermelon. I also got to show my grammie and grampie how I play with sister's old toys. They just laugh and laugh but they miss her (so it's good they have me to love and spoil!) My grammie and grampie came to visit and Grampie fixed the screen. He NEVER yells at me. He even let me help him. I'm sitting on his lap right now, cuddling. I don't think I'll be getting a sister anytime soon, though. Glad to hear you got to the park--and even more glad to hear you went to Dairy Queen! Yuuuuuuummmmmmmyyyyyyy! Hi guys! I'm REALLY impressed that you can be let free like that. I'm waaaaaay too bad and would get into some sort of mischief. I'm more like Robbie in that I would RUN! I also like to sniff the bushes and trees. Our new yard doesn't have any trees but has TONS of flowers. The people who lived here did lots of remodeling in the house and planting outside the house. We even have a meditative garden in the back and that's great to poke around in. Have a WONDERFUL day! Pug hugs and kisses to you all! Maddie. P.S. I did a bad thing yesterday. Poor boys. I guess yesterday was just a bad day all around. My mommie woke up with a migraine and couldn't play for the ENTIRE day. Plus it was sooooo hot that we couldn't go outside anyway. I played with some of my new toys and TRIED to be good but those darn cardboard boxes were calling me to chew on them. My grammie says that's just my way of helping to unpack. Hello guys! Hope this note finds you cool and happy. We are about to have a storm so we'll be stuck inside. I'm working very hard on not being a diva-- although I still haven't gotten out of bed yet (I'm dictating this to my mommie from under a blanket!) Once I get up, though, I plan on playing with all my new toys (well, they're new to ME!) Gotta go. Mommie needs to put popsicles on our grocery list! Love to all you guys from us girls!
I was so mad I stayed in bed until 11:30 but I'm not angry anymore. I AM a spoiled monster. How did you know I'm a diva? I have a tag on my harness that says so! I now realize my mommie was just trying to take care of me. She bought me lots of prizes while I was with the groomer. Today I helped her while she worked by playing nicely with sister's toys--and I didn't rip a single one (though I did chew a couple more holes in some boxes.) Hey Guys! It was waaaaay too hot here yesterday and will be again today. Yesterday Mommie took me with her to get the oil changed in the car, then she took me to petsmart. I thought I was getting a prize but instead I got furminated, my teeth brushed, my ears cleaned, and my NAILS CUT! I was so angry I came home and ripped a hole in one of her favorite blankets. I'm still not speaking to her. I think I'll stay in bed all day. Keep the popsicles handy! Love ya right back! Maddie
